St. Edward School is so fortunate to have alums who want to come back to our school and volunteer their time. Sr. Makiko Fujiwara (our former 2nd grade teacher), returns each week to volunteer in the Kindergarten classroom. In addition, her invaluable support during Catholic Schools week (setting up the book fair and co-hosting the annual "Friends of St. Edward Tea") and cheerleading support for our CYO sports teams are wonderful examples of her love and devotion to St. Edward School.
We so appreciate Leona DeRocco for giving up much of her free time over the past several years to work with one of our primary grade classes. Thank you, Leona!
Several of our graduates - currently in high school or college - return on a regular basis to help in a variety of ways around the school. Most recently, Nebiat Gebre volunteered for three weeks, helping our school get ready for an accreditation visit. Andrew Cornell volunteers almost once each month to help the principal and the teachers. Both of these St. Edward alums are so generous with their time and are willing to help out wherever they are needed. Thank you so much Nebiat and Andrew!!.
If you are interested in volunteering, please call the school office at 206-725-1774.
We LOVE our alums!!
